After almost a year of R&D, Schecter Guitar Research is debuting its first Sustainiac-loaded Hellraiser. In addition to killer looks and the quality and features that have made the Hellraiser one of the industry's most popular electric guitars over the past five years, the new Hellraiser C-1 FR-S adds the Sustainiac Infinite Sustain system to the instrument's already lethal EMG 81 bridge pickup. Mini toggles control the Sustainiac's off/on and three harmonic modes. A custom-designed dual battery compartment provides easy access. Major features include EMG Active Humbuckers and onboard Sustainiac stealth system; set-in mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard; gray pearl "Gothic Cross" inlay; Grover tuners; and Floyd Rose 1000 locking tremolo.

Washburn Updates 'Idol' In Spalted Maple

The Idol has been in the Washburn lineup since the '90s - a testiment to its staying power, desirability and status amongst players of all levels. With its bold single cutaway style and dual humbucker layout, the Original Idol provides a stylish alternative to the cookie cutter guitars that litter the musical landscape. When you choose an Original Idol you make a statement that you're not just an ordinary guitar player and you've got something to say. Chambered for lighter weight and more resonance.

Washburn's new WIDLXSPLTD, a spalted maple version of its original Idol popularized in the '90s and '00s, features a gorgeous gloss-finished carved spalted maple top on a chambered mahogany body with a belly cut on the back for playing comfort. The chambering of the body makes this guitar lighter and more resonant. The gloss mahogany set neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with rectangular pearl inlays and a custom W wing inlay at the 12th fret.Players can expect a fat, creamy tone with superb playability thanks to this guitar's chambered mahogany body and easy playing neck. It comes equipped with D'Addario EXL-120 strings ensuring great tone out of the box. Hardware includes a tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece and diecast tuners. A NuBone nut is used for added sustain. Electronics comprise two humbuckers for noise-free operation with a three-way toggle switch and individual volume and tone control for each pickup.

Finger Board - Rosewood

The most common fretboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.

Pickups - EMG Active 808

The 707 has been leading the pack of 7-string guitar pickups since its debut in 2001, and is now available for the 8-String! Before this model was introduced, existing 8-string pickups sounded muddy and dull on the low F# string, especially when trying to hit artificial and natural harmonics, but the 808 eliminates all those problems. Featuring Alnico V loaded wide aperture coils we were able to beef up that Low F# tone and at the same time provide a more responsive super tight overall sound.

Neck - 3-pc Maple w/Carbon Fiber Reinforcement Rods

Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability. Two Carbon Fiber Rods are installed next to the Truss Rod for extra stability. Stronger than an equivalent volume of steel, Carbon Fiber adds little weight, but adds significant stiffness
