EVENTS SCRAPBOOK
Along with selling a lot of musical instruments and
the gear and accessories to go with them, for many years now L.A. MUSIC
has been proud to provide its community with in-store clinics, workshops
and events where musicians can connect, learn, and grow as artists.
Here are some of the highlights from over the years:
George Lynch
George Lynch is a very recognizable name in the hard
rock/heavy metal industry and a well known guitarist in the band Dokken
and his bands Lynch Mob and Souls of We.
With a career of over 30 years now, George Lynch is a
notable hard rock/heavy metal guitarist. George Lynch has worked on over
20 albums and has toured the world many times.
Special thanks to George Lynch, for appearing at L.A.
MUSIC on February 1, 2011, and ESP Guitars for helping making it
possible.
Steve Vai
A three time Grammy Award-winning American rock guitarist, composer and producer who has sold over 15 million albums.
On June 16, 2006, the virtuoso in the world of guitar
music, Steve Vai graced us all with a special meet and greet for
hundreds of screaming fans! Big thanks to Steve Vai and Ibanez guitars
for making that day extra special for everyone there that day.
L.A Music was lucky enough to get Steve Vai to sign a
few of Ibanez Jems and Euphorias acoustics. One of them was signed to
L.A. Music and which we are displaying in the showroom at our Superstore
location behind glass case and is not for sale!!
Kenny Aronoff
Kenny Aronoff is one of the most in-demand and
influental drummers around. Kenny Aronoff has worked with many industry
greats such as John Mellencamp, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Seger, John
Fogerty, Melissa Etheridge, Jon Bon Jovi, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Rod
Stewart, Alanis Morissette, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Willie
Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Puddle of Mudd, Avril Lavigne, Joe Cocker, B.
B. King, Mick Jagger, Ray Charles, Alice Cooper, Meat Loaf, Bonnie
Raitt, Ricky Martin, Santana, Trey Anastasio, Michelle Branch, Vince
Gill, Gladys Knight, Aaron Neville, Trisha Yearwood, Patti LaBelle,
George Jones, Conway Tritty, The Buddy Rich Big Band and the list goes
on...
Kenny Aronoff, with help from Tama Drums,
performed and gave everyone a super interesting and informative drum
clinic that day. Many thanks to Kenny Aronoff and Tama Drums for making
it happen.
Michael Angelo Batio - MAB
Michael Angelo Batio was voted “No. 1 Shredder of ALL TIME” Guitar One Magazine, 2003, voted one of the “Top 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists of ALL TIME” Guitar World Magazine, and voted one of the "20 Greatest Shredders of All Time" by Total Guitar Magazine, both in April 2008.
Michael invented and was the world’s first player of
the twin-necked, left and right-handed Double-Guitar. He plays the
guitar right or left-handed. He also plays both guitars together in
harmonies or two separate parts together at the same time.
Michael is well known for his signature stage move called the “MAB Over-Under” technique, which is now used on stage as a standard technique by many Rock and Metal guitarists.

On August 29th, 2006, and with assistance from Dean
Guitars, Michael Angelo Batio showed us his stuff in a stellar
performance, and was gracious enough to meet and sign some autographs
for his fans afterwards. We all had an incredible time! Special thanks
to Michael Angelo Batio and Dean Guitars.
