Wildwood finish

the mid-'60s
Fender introduced the exotic Wildwood finish. This look
was achieved by injecting beechwood trees with a chemical dye years
before harvesting them, which stained the grain pattern. This wood was
then used to construct various
instruments. The
Fender Elvis Kingman
brings back this finish on the back, sides, and headstock of the
guitar.
